  • Quest for More Clarity

    Yet another boat.
    Yet another boat.

When I penned the first words for this post few months back I was struggling with clarity (more than usually, that is). But not necessarily in a way of “what’s the meaning of life?” or “who is Jon Snow’s father?”– kind of level.

No, rather that my mind was just a jumble of ideas, thoughts, goals, action steps and anything and everything in between. I felt as there wasn’t enough time in a day to get shit done.

And it was my own fault. Let me explain. (more…)

  • Thoughts on…VIII: Life, Learning and Teaching

Once every few months, I go through all my notes I’ve written down and do a roundup post of what has been going through my head. Thoughts and quotes from books and actions that I’ve found helpful. It gives me the opportunity to reflect back before starting taking notes again on a “clean slate”. (more…)

  • 66 Unconventional Ways for Exceptional Fat Loss, Fitness and Health

66 unconventional ways for exceptional fat loss, fitness and health

Search the Internet for how to lose fat and you are bound to get about million hits with everything from how to time your macros to which way to hold a fork when eating an egg.

Some of the points in this post are more philosophical and some are more practical. I first wrote hundred points but came to conclusion that the last thing we need is another post on the best protein sources and whether boiled potato has better nutritional value than a grilled sweet potato.

My reason for this post is to help you to build your own principles and rules to follow. From now on I want you to be indifferent and ignore the latest and craziest fitness trends that come and go. Learn to sit on your principles and watch the fools do the running.  Find what’s right for youLet’s begin.

  • Course Corrections: Do More Things You Enjoy

    Copy of It's So Easy

This post is all about me. But anyone can apply it to get to know themselves better.

I am not a life coach or such. I share these following thoughts because I’ve noticed what a difference they make in my life. And if by reading this one of you decides to try the same and it’ll make a difference in your life, that’s amazing. That’s all I can ask for.
You and I live privileged lives, we have the freedom to choose. Not everyone in this world can say the same. Let’s not spend this opportunity doing the things that don’t matter. One chance, might as well make it a good one while it lasts.
Sometimes it’s just good to stop and think. That’s it.

  • I Was Wrong.

    I WAS WRONG

Every now and then I like to take a look back and see how my thoughts have evolved on some topics in the fitness industry. My opinion is that it’s crucial to learn from one’s mistakes to better yourself as a coach and a trainer (or as a person). Looking back now I can say that, yes I was wrong, but at the time I coached my clients as best as I knew. It’s just that opinions change as we grow. And it’s given that in the future I will look back at some of the things I believe in now and realize I’ve changed my mind about them. That’s all good and I am always willing to have my beliefs challenged if it helps me going forward.

  • Starting The Day The Right Way

Starting The Day The Right Way

I’ve always been a morning person but only lately realized how much I can affect the rest of the day by having a morning routine to follow. I’ve noticed how I spend the first 30-60 minutes of the morning will ultimately carry over to how productive I will be for the next 12-16 hours. Those first minutes will also directly correlate to how my mood is for the rest of the day. Well, there are exceptions on some days but generally this works.

  • What Can You Learn From Failing?

    Thoughts on

So you’ve started your new training plan and you are working on the daily habit to improve your life. You’re losing fat, getting stronger and feeling better. Things just seem to fall into the right places. Sure, it’s a bit of an effort to keep up with it all but you can push through.
